A local heating and plumbing team built on trust
Fossil Heating And Plumbing is a local team serving homes, businesses and larger properties across North Yorkshire. We want customers to feel they have been given a straight answer before any work starts — trust is the whole product here, not a line on a page.

The way we work
We do not believe in pushing replacement work because it pays better. If a repair is the best financial option, we will tell you. If replacement is the sensible call, we will explain why. We have fixed boilers other companies had already written off, for a low fee, because that was genuinely the better deal for the customer — that is the promise, whatever is best for you financially, not for us.
When it is not our job to do
Being straight with customers sometimes means pointing them elsewhere. We do not carry out heat pump installations — if that is the better option for your property, we will say so and point you towards someone who does that work well, rather than force a boiler solution because it is what we sell.

Real people, real work
The properties we work on range from ordinary homes to park homes, nursing homes and factories, across Scarborough, Whitby, Driffield and York. The site will show the engineers, vans and the actual jobs we take on, rather than stock photographs and big claims.
Local coverage, practical decisions
Scarborough is our main base, with work across the North Yorkshire coast and selected surrounding areas. We take a sensible view of travel and the job in front of us, so customers know where they stand rather than being promised a huge coverage area that does not work in practice.
Fossil Heating And Plumbing has been trading since January 2019. We are Gas Safe registered (623545) and OFTEC registered (102856), and we also hold CHAS, Checkatrade, NICEIC, Intergas Mi Tech+, Welcome to Yorkshire, Constructionline and TrustATrader — see our Certified and Trusted page for the same list.
